If you start an apprenticeship in elder care with us, you are taking up a career with prospects. Regardless of whether you complete an elder care assistant apprenticeship or decide on the new generalist elder care apprenticeship: you can expect a varied and exciting apprenticeship in which you will gain theoretical knowledge in our DIAKO Emma and Karl Hübel training center and gain plenty of practical experience in our various facilities. And after the apprenticeship? – There are a variety of opportunities open to you in our company.
The same also applies to your year of recognition in child and youth welfare. Here, too, you have the opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experience in our various groups and at different locations, to set individual accents and to carry out projects. And after the year of recognition, there are many paths to further training and promotion to a management position in our child and youth welfare service.
Generalist elder care training
The federal government has re-regulated the training of care professions. What does that mean? - The three previous job profiles of geriatric nurse, health and nursing assistant, and health and pediatric nurse have been abolished and combined into a new, universal job profile - the elderly care specialist. The generalist training now combines specialist areas from all three previous elder care areas. Your training as an elder care specialist will enable you to be deployed flexibly in the future. And the best thing is that you no longer have to pay school fees. On the contrary: you will receive good training remuneration in our company from day one.
Our training offerings are varied and exciting, theory and practical blocks alternate continuously and the qualification offers many opportunities.
We train at the following locations:
Recognition interns:
- Child and youth welfare in Bad Arolsen
Elderly care specialist & Elderly care assistant:
- Bad Arolsen (Helenenheim & Zentrale Diakoniestation)
- Diemelsee-Adorf (Lisa Bergmann Haus) & Diemelsee-Flechtdorf (Landeshospital)
- Vöhl-Asel (Zum Weinberg)
- Frankenberg/Eder (Altenzentrum Auf der Burg & Diakonie-Sozialstation)
Anyone who works should also receive remuneration for it - and of course this is exactly the case with training in geriatric care. Anyone who works with us is paid well during their training.
Our DIAKO education center Emma and Karl Hübel plays a key role in training. The theoretical training blocks take place at our two locations in Bad Arolsen and Korbach. Modern teaching and teaching methods will prepare you for your future career. Action-oriented teaching units are part of our standard.
