It couldn't be more personal...

In addition to the appreciative work in the team, I am particularly impressed by the flexibility in terms of time, which allows me to complete my studies in addition to my work. If you would like to get to know different areas of work, at the same time would like to have the freedom for further training and are interested in being promoted to a management position in the company, I would highly recommend taking the step into child and youth welfare. I would choose this job again at any time.

I have now been working in child and youth welfare for over 17 years. And I still always enjoy coming to work. Why it is like that? – There is always something going on here, the children and young people are very important to me and the family working atmosphere is really great.

Even after 26 years in the Landeshospital Flechtdorf I still enjoy coming to work. Why is that? I have grown fond of the residents and we are a really great team here. We not only share our worries and concerns with each other, but also have a lot of fun together. Our good working atmosphere also benefits our residents.

I have been working in the service of and for people for almost four decades. I do this with heart and passion. For me, diakonia means putting the double commandment of love of God and neighbor into practice in everyday life. What makes our facility so special for me? We are a modern company with high quality standards and international charm. Our teams include many colleagues with different nationalities, religions and cultures. This is a real enrichment.

The internal developments in child and youth welfare are a matter close to my heart. That's why I'm involved in the employee representative body (MAV). I represent the interests of my colleagues, pass on their suggestions and ideas to the management and support their concerns. Through my work in the MAV, I have a positive influence on the development of child and youth welfare.

The senior citizens’ center “Auf der Burg“ in Frankenberg is characterized by constant optimization. In all areas - whether elderly care, care or housekeeping - I see a constant improvement in standards and am very proud and happy to be a part of this process. The facility also offers me personal growth opportunities and supports me in my professional goals.

Further education and training are very important to us in the company. This gives me the opportunity to study alongside my work as a deputy group leader in child and youth welfare and to complete further training to become a systemic parent advisor. I also benefit from regular supervision, which strengthens collaboration within the team and allows me to continually gain new perspectives.

I started out with a job on a 450 Euro basis – today I am the head of housekeeping. Every day, together with a great team, I ensure that our residents in the Landeshospital Flechtdorf get delicious food, have enough laundry and everything in our house is clean. Making seniors happy is a great task.

I have been working here for many years - because child and youth welfare is simply my calling. Here I can give the girls and boys entrusted to me support and security, support and challenge them so that they can make the best possible use of their strengths in order to be able to lead a self-determined life later.
It's nice that I can give children and young people a home through my work here. Sometimes temporarily, but sometimes even to the point of becoming independent.
